We're excited to release our 2021 Copper Resource Report. Over the past several years, we have seen surges in the copper price, which usually means more mining and exploration for copper. As a critical mineral for the energy transition, copper is more popular than ever, but there is a lack of quality projects.

Prospector has been tracking the growing interest in this sector through our database of mining projects and company filings. With this data, we summarized all the "maiden" resource estimates in 2021 for copper projects listed on exchanges around the world. 

According to our database of technical reports, there were hundreds of copper projects that filed technical reports which include resource updates, PEAs, PFS and maiden resources, but we filtered them out to find the companies that published their first resource estimate in 2021.
